Smith-Gordon is an independent STM publisher in the UK publishing for an international readership. Launched in 1988 it is a division of Mimeo UK. Nutrition and metabolism have been a leading interest as well as other aspects of public health. In an era of globalization and of competition for scarce resources excellence and relevance in all kinds of human research and healthcare will increasingly be the concern of all citizens and policy makers as well as a matter for scientists and health professionals.
